Ella Ivanova, a talented chef from Kryvyi Rih, has recently shared one of her delicious recipes with us. Her passion for cooking and creating new dishes has made her a well-known culinary expert in the city.
Ella grew up in a family where food was always at the center of gatherings and celebrations. Her mother and grandmother were both amazing cooks and taught her the secrets of traditional Ukrainian cuisine. However, Ella’s curiosity and creativity led her to experiment with different flavors and ingredients, resulting in unique and mouth-watering dishes.
After completing her culinary education, Ella started working in various restaurants and hotels, constantly learning and perfecting her skills. But it wasn’t until she opened her own restaurant in Kryvyi Rih that she truly found her calling. Her restaurant quickly gained popularity among locals and tourists, thanks to Ella’s innovative approach to traditional dishes.
Recently, Ella shared her recipe for a dish that has become a signature item on her menu – Mushroom Stroganoff. This dish is a twist on the classic beef stroganoff, using mushrooms instead of meat. It’s a perfect option for vegetarians or anyone looking for a lighter alternative.
To make this dish, you will need:
— 500g of your favorite mushrooms (Ella recommends using a mix of button, portobello, and shiitake mushrooms)
— 1 onion, finely chopped
— 2 cloves of garlic, minced
— 1 tablespoon of butter
— 1 tablespoon of olive oil
— 1 cup of sour cream
— 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
— 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
— 1 cup of beef or vegetable broth
— Salt and pepper to taste
— Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
— 500g of your favorite pasta (Ella suggests using fettuccine)
Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter has melted, add the onions and garlic and cook until they become translucent. Next, add the mushrooms and cook until they start to release their juices.
In a separate bowl, mix together the sour cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Once the mushrooms are cooked, add the sour cream mixture to the skillet and stir until well combined. Gradually add the broth, stirring constantly, until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
By now, your pasta should be cooked and drained. Add it to the skillet with the mushroom sauce and toss until the pasta is well coated. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Ella’s Mushroom Stroganoff has become a fan favorite at her restaurant, and now you can recreate it in the comfort of your own home. The combination of earthy mushrooms, tangy sour cream, and savory sauce makes for a perfect comfort food dish. And the best part? It’s ready in under 30 minutes!
Ella’s passion for cooking and sharing her love for food with others is truly inspiring. She hopes to continue creating new and exciting dishes and sharing them with the world. So next time you find yourself in Kryvyi Rih, make sure to stop by Ella’s restaurant and try out some of her other delicious creations. Who knows, you might even get to meet the talented chef herself and learn some more of her secret recipes.
